This live recording by Melisma Ensemble is the Australian premiere of a magnificent composition by Saint Ioannis Koukouzelis (14th c.). It is composed in Plagal Second Mode on verses from Psalm 9. Koukouzelis took a handful of Psalmic verses and created this fortyfive-minute masterpiece. The performance took place on the 7th of May, 2023 at the Church of the Resurrection of Christ in Sydney, Australia.
