Οι περισσότερες Ελληνορθόδοξες εκκλησίες δεν ψάλλουν τον ύμνο "Πληρωθήτω το στόμα ημών" μετά τη Θεία Κοινωνία. Ο ύμνος αυτός φαίνεται να λεγόταν στο παρελθόν και να "ξεχάστηκε" τα τελευταία 200 (ή και πιό πολλά) χρόνια. Δεν υπάρχει επίσημη καταγεγραμμένη μελωδία στα κλασσικά έντυπα βιβλία. Σήμερα υπάρχουν δύο διαφορετικές εκδοχές του ύμνου με διαφορετικά λόγια. Ο Ιωάννης Φουντούλης (στο εγκόλπιο της Ι. Μ. Σιμωνόπετρας) έχει "μελετάν", η Αρχιεπισκοπή Αυστραλίας (επίσημη μετάφραση) έχει "μελετώντας". Βασίλης Ζάχαρης: Και οι δύο εκδοχές έχουν ειπωθεί από τον αείμνηστο Φουντούλη. Απλά κάποια από τις δύο είναι προϊόν νεωτέρων στοιχείων της έρευνας. Ο γερο-Δοσίθεος (Τατάρνης) αναφέρει πως η αρχαιότερη μορφή είναι το "μελετάν" και αναφέρεται στο Πασχάλιον Χρονικόν που ανάγεται στον 6ο αιώνα.

Most Greek Orthodox churches do not chant this hymn which seems to have been part of the Divine Liturgy in the past. Some churches and recent publications attempt to revive the tradition of chanting this hymn at its appropriate place. More details below.

Timothy Tadros: After everyone has received Holy Communion the priest enters the Sanctuary and pours and wipes the diskos of the remaining commemorations. The priest turns and blesses the people and exclaims "Save O God, Thy people and bless Thine inheritance" The choir responds with "We have seen the True Light..." The priest then lifts the Chalice over the Diskos and says facing the people again "Always, now and ever, and unto the ages of ages" The Choir sings Amen then "Let our mouths be filled with Thy praise, O Lord..." Then the Ektenia of Thanksgiving.

Yorgos Bilalis: This hymn "Plirothito to stoma imon..." (Let our mouths be filled with praise...) is forgotten in the chanting books that are printed after 1821. Recently, Ioannes Arvanitis has put this hymn in melody (mode II, soft chromatic accroding to the old manuscripts indications) and is published in the Liturgy book that Panagiotes Pappas has printed in Athens during the '90s.
