St. Irene Chrysovalantou - Great Vespers

Hello everyone,

Does anyone have the text in English for the Great Vespers (and Matins, if possible) of St. Irene Chrysovalantou (July 28th)? I know it appears in Greek (and in music, even, via Psaltologion)...but I would like to chant a bit more than the Apolytikion (which can be found at http://www.stanthonysmonastery.org/music/Menaion/b5828a.pdf).

Thanks in advance! :D

Tim

If anyone you know happens to have the Menaia set from Holy Transfiguration Monastery, you could check there. I'm sure there are other English translations, but they wouldn't be metered. At most, Fr. Seraphim Dedes (http://www.ematins.org/matins.htm) might have translated the Orthros hymns. Perhaps you could contact him to check.

Unfortunately, there is no translation there... is there any other source? Even just a couple of the vesperal/matins prosomoia?

You have checked both with Fr. Seraphim Dedes, and in the HTM Menaia? (If you haven't checked the HTM Menaia, be sure to look at the END of the month of July, in addition to on July 28th... they sometimes put additional services in the back of each month.)

Apologies for sending you to different sources... if I was at school, I would simply look the service up for you myself. :)

If any one is still interested, I'll look it up in the HTM Menaion. I just don't have a scanner large enough to accomodate the books.
