Здрасти, Богдан!

I like what you have done!

Though I am slowly teaching myself Byzantine chant, I would be interested in using this in our church.

May I ask what program you used to compose the chant?

Below you will find a chant I have done recently.

Бог да благослови, и продължете с работата си!

Всичко най-хубаво,
Марко

You can use one these free programs to write Byz.mus.scores:
-MK
-Pandouris

The advantage of these programs is that you get a bonus:
you can import the corresponding files of these programs, i.e.
-.mk3
-.pan
to the free parallagi program BZQ.
BZQ has some unique features e.g.
-plays the parallagi with a prerecorded HUMAN voice, choir or instrument
-pronounces the notes like "dooo reee miii..." (useful for home study)
-analyzes/simulates the quality characters, e.g. Petasti(flutter) etc.
-finds orthographical errors.

I use MK, and I have tried installing Pandouris, but it did not work for me. I will try BZQ.

Many of the musical texts that I have found on this forum are beautifully illustrated, and I often wonder how those texts are produced.

Ah, I do as well. I was wondering how you were able to make everything look so neat, particularly your Church Slavonic font.

Здравейте Марко,

I am sorry. I forgot to say that now I use MK, but this score is written with St. Anthony's Monastery "EZ" fonts. About the Church Slavonic, now I use Orthodox.tt ieUcs8, but this score is with Ponomar ucs, and I positioned it below the neumes with text boxes.
