Dear members,

Christ is risen.

I hereby wish to inform you that composing services, something I have been hitherto doing only for "my soul's benefit" and in memory of my late parents, is already my "handiwork", just as others have iconography, translation, and setting to music as their handiwork - especially now that my employer has abolished overtime. Let me remind forum members that the writer serves a small Greek Orthodox parish in the diaspora, in the English countryside, and "I labour, working with my own hands" (1 Cor 4:12), that is, I work full-time - my parish does not have the ability to employ me as a full-time clergyman, nor am I a clergyman on secondment from Greece.

Therefore, if anyone wishes to commission me to write a service, in Greek, English (modern English but matching Byzantine chant melodies) or Church Slavonic (matching Byzantine original melodies or not-as the commissioner wishes), please contact me by private message. Samples of my work are scattered throughout cyberspace.

"The worker is worthy of his wages" (Luke 10:7).
