Awed by the beauty - long melody

Jameel

Νέο μέλος
I started transcribing English hymns into Byzantine melodies (western notation) when I was in my early 20's. Faced with the daunting task of doing all of it, (this was before the internet and my discovery that other's were also at the task) I ran out of steam. In recent years I've done very little transcribing, but what I have done has been in Byzantine notation, which I greatly prefer to chant from than western notation. So here is a piece I did a few years ago. I used the Mousikon Triodion published by the Monastery of Ss. Cyprian and Justina (Greece) as my basis. I should say that there are most likely mistakes in this. I am self taught regarding notation (my father, grandfather, and great-grandfather were all chanters) and am not fluent in the orthographic rules.
