Must say that serbian has some nice unique melody
Deeply touching the spirit when a man has first experience in the Church
Serbian 1st and 8th tone are similar with byzantine
And 4th tone is very popular and chanted

This so-called "Serbian Church Folk Chantig" is just a result of pseudomorphosis of the Byzantine /i.e. Offical Eastern Orthdox Church/ chanting tradition. Period.
