Dear friends,

Christ is risen!

I wanted to let you know that my music book in English "Apolytikia and Kontakia for the Entire Year" is now ready for downloading as a complete book for free. For the book in Western notation (1525 pages) go to: http://www.stanthonysmonastery.org/music/Apolytikia.htm For the same book in Byzantine notation (1469 pages) go to: http://www.stanthonysmonastery.org/music/ApolytikiaB.htm

In the introductory pages there is a nice forward by Nick Giannoukakis (the Protopsaltis of the Metropolis of Pittsburgh) and a useful chart for determining the final kontakion after the small entrance in the Divine Liturgy.

I've already corrected a few typos that people have pointed out to me so far. If anyone notices any other mistakes, please let me know.

in Christ,
+Papa Ephraim

Pater Ephraim, eulogeite,
I'd like to ask you if these Books of Apolytikia (in byzantine and Western Notation) are also available with the original Greek texts?
That would be most useful for most of the students and I believe even for psalts.

That would be a good thing to have, but since there are already many books in Greek that have music for the apolytikia, this kind of thing could easily be made by anyone who has the time to just cut and paste all those apolytikia together into one place.
