Christ is risen!

A small Paschal gift...

Over the past few months, I have been making an attempt, with the help of Dr. Arvanitis, to understand better the papadic genre. In doing so, I have been trying to compose a set of Cherubic hymns in English.

To date, I have composed Cherubic hymns in the first, third, and fourth (agia) modes. They are original compositions, not based on any Greek original. They have not yet been "reviewed" by Dr. Arvanitis (I'm sure that they have ample mistakes and parts that need fixing), but I wanted to upload them here, so as to receive feedback, suggestions, and criticism from the other side of the globe as well. :)

In Christ,
Gabriel

A couple other new Cherubic hymns. Hopefully one day I'll get around to typing these up.

The one in plagal first is mostly inspired by Dr. Arvanitis' Εισελεύσομαι in plagal first mode.

The one in plagal second was inspired by several different sources. It is (to some degree) an original composition, but highly influenced by Chourmouzios' weekday Cherubic Hymn in plagal second mode. (The "Invisibly escorted" is entirely verbatim from there, if I recall correctly.)

The one in plagal fourth is my own work. It has a mistake in it, though, on the third-to-last line of the fourth page. It should be either of the two options Dr. Arvanitis has written above in pencil.
