Here you can find music for a Vespers Idiomelon (and, according to some Typika, the Vespers Doxastikon) of March 9th - the Forty Holy Martyrs of Sebastia. The Greek original was very unique, in that it has several lines in which the melody descends to Pa diatonically, before returning back to the chromatic genus. The text painting is quite beautiful throughout the entire piece. I tried to preserve this as best I could in the English.
