Παλαιό Μέλος
Hello,
I will be chanting liturgy this coming June 4th and would appreciate some help with rubrics as the hmerologion doesn't have the hymns prescribed. Some questions:
1) Following the Doxology, since we are still in the festival period of the Ascension, would the apolytikion chanted be for Ascension (instead of the Saint's Apolytikion)?
2) Assuming we're in the festal period for Ascension at the 2nd antiphon...Σῶσον ἡμᾶς, Υἱέ Θεοῦ, ὁ ἐν δόξῃ ἀναληφθείς ἀφ’ ἡμῶν εἰς τούς οὐρανούς?
3) Working under the same assumption:
a) Apolytikion for Ascension
b) Eisodikon for Ascension: Ἀνέβη ὁ Θεός ἐν ἀλαλαγμῷ, Κύριος ἐν φωνῇ σάλπιγγος. Σῶσον ἡμᾶς, Υἱέ Θεοῦ, ὁ ἐν δόξῃ ἀναληφθείς ἀφ’ ἡμῶν εἰς τούς οὐρανούς, ψάλλοντάς σοι, Ἀλληλούϊα
c) Apolytikion for St. Metrophanes
d) Repeat Apolytikion for Ascension (or is Ascension first?)
e) Troparion of the Church
f) Kontakion for Ascension
4) Exairetos: Axion Estin or Se Thn Ypernoun?
5) Koinonikon: For Wednesday (Potirion...) or for Saints (Eis Mnymosynon...)?
5) After communion: Apolytikion of Ascension or Eidomen to Phos?
Thanks!
R.
