Some time ago I came in possesion of an edition by the title "Greek Byzantine Leiturgical Hymnal" by Gheorghios Anastasiou, Prime Cantor of the Hellenic Archdiosese of America (1945).
The author dedicates it to his teacher Stylianos Hourmouzios (Cypriot as far as I know).
It is in Western notation. In pages 237 and 238 there is a psalmodicon Simeron krematai that combines in quite an artistic way plagal Second and Varys Diatonicos Zo.
I wonder if anyone knows whether it's Anastasiou's own composition or maby his teacher's.
And if it has been edited in traditional Byzantine notation
I searched for it in the Greek forum and nobody seems to have heard anything about it.
